The hotel was in a lovely setting, just a 5 minute drive from Bowness on Windermere. and with a clear view across the lake. The grounds were tastefully laid out and well kept, and on a warmer day it would have been lovely to sit outside and enjoy the view from the garden.
Inside the hotel was stylish but comfortable and relaxed. Our room was large and well provisioned, - my wife loved the modern bathroom, and the place was spotlessly clean.
The menu was limited, offering about 6 options for each course, but all with innovative combinations of ingredients which were tempting, and which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Room Tip: We had a 'cosy room' which gave us access to a small private patio.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Spotless room and lounge and dining room very comfortable. Food delicious although we did miss canapes pre dinner which were always offered on previous occasions. Always a special touch which contributes to the ambience of a stylish establishment. Perhaps management will reconsider. Nevertheless can highly recommend the Ryebeck, one of our favourite hotels

Room Tip: All rooms fine, but worth upgrading for larger rooms and good views

Just returned after spending two days here for our daughter's wedding. From planning to the actual 'big day' to the day itself, staff at The Ryebeck have been amazing. Nothing has been too much trouble and the professionalism and hard work the staff display is commendable. The rooms are spotless and well equipped, the public areas are welcoming, the gardens and terrace are incredible with views to die for. The food also lends itself to such a fantastic place, the chef and his staff should be very proud. The Ryebeck is an independently run hotel and this shows. Hard working professional staff, fantastic food and lovely grounds all factors in making our Daughter and new Son in laws big day most memorable. Thank you so much. A special mention for Oana for all your help in making the day run smoothly, you are truly professional and an asset to The Ryebeck. Thank you.

We booked for 2 nights B&B (13/14 Feb 2017) via Travelzoo in October last year. Between then and now, our dog was very poorly and to an extent where the dog-sitter could no longer look after her. The offer was non-transferable but if you don't ask.....
I did and we were allowed to carry it over to 26/27 Mar instead. A BIG THUMBS UP SO FAR. We had stayed in Autumn 2014 and it was superb. The tranquility of The Ryebeck was what was required after a period of stressful canine treatment. Like September 2014, we arrived late in the afternoon and the weather was glorious, as it was for the whole period we were there. Sitting on the rear terrace, facing west, overlooking Lake Windermere, with a pint (or two) of Lakeland Gold could not be bettered anywhere, at anytime. We even stayed in the same room as last time (No. 14)! The breakfast was excellent, the evening meals equally so. The Gold remained perfect as did the Savvy B for my better half. Duncan and the team added to what was a much-needed and greatly relaxing two nights. I cannot applaud nor recommend The Ryebeck enough - IT WAS EXCELLENT.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the west side as it will overlook the lake but all rooms are lovely.
