“Fantastic holiday, truly lived up to it's name”

We stayed at Grandview the last week of August with 4 adults and 2 children (Parents, Grandparents, kids aged 10 and 6).
I had selected Grandview for it's location and the views and it really exceeded all of our expectations.
The property is of a very high standard, well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The beds were incredibly comfortable with lovely cotton linen. I truly felt like I was in a boutique hotel.
Rooms were spacious and airy. Plenty of room to eat in the kitchen taking in the superb view and then relax doing the same in the lounge.
The location is perfect, right on the prom so the children literally wandered over to the sea. If you want the very sandy beach it is less than a 5 min walk along the prom.
Owners were lovely and friendly but equally not intrusive.
The property was well described, I wouldn't worry about young children with the wall at the bottom of the garden. It wasn't a garden you would sit and play in you are too close to the beach so as long as you are with them it's perfectly safe. There is a large staircase that leads up from the hall to the apartment, I would imagine this is too wide for a travel stairgate so this is worth knowing if you do have young children.

This was at the top end of our budget but worth every penny and I would love to return.

“Best ever holiday with my grandchildren.”
Reviewed 30 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Beach location - perfect with toddlers. No worries about finding toilets or spending time packing lunches - we simply returned to the apartment. Owners parents lived downstairs. They couldn't have been nicer despite the two noisy children (age 3 & 5) we had with us. We were even given tomatoes and cucumber from the greenhouse - delicious. Apartment was very clean and spacious. Wonderful views. Very well equipped with everything we could possibly want, including buckets and spades! Will definitely go again, in fact I have just booked another week for next July - only hope the weather is as good.

“Second choice but truly first rate”
Reviewed 22 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

We had booked a different apartment to this one but were let down a few days prior to travelling. Grandview had been high on our list of choices, and the cancellation of our previous choice turned out to be the best bit of "bad" luck we could have wished for.

The apartment is first class, with superb views from the lounge, the kitchen/diner and from the master bedroom. Everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay was provided and more! From the welcoming cream tea to large and fluffy towels, from totally comfortable beds to little things like the binoculars left for guests use.

Fully recommended!

“OUTSTANDING!!!!”

This property is very special. It was about double the size we expected and the views quite spectacular. Though the weather was not its best, we cannot fault the accommodation which is modern, comfortable and very well equipped. It was great to have extras like a cream tea and flowers on arrival, plenty of cleaning/kitchen supplies and generous extras like luxury soaps and body lotions. There were also a large stock of mugs, glasses etc which are often frustratingly limited in some properties. These were what I would term luxury beds and bedding, causing us to try and find labels on them before we left as we are now tempted to upgrade our bed a home to such a comfortable one! To be able to walk down the garden path, straight onto the beach is pretty special, and we genuinely could only face packing up and leaving this morning by promising ourselves we would return!!!!
So......... wholehearted recommendation from us......... with heaps to do locally and a plentiful stock of DVD's, books, puzzles and games in the flat for any rainy days.
It was clear the whole area has had lots of investment recently due to the upcoming Olympic Sailing in Weymouth, which is also a bonus for staying here.
