Had a very hood time at this very nice cottage in Coleford. The location is very convenient for many of the attractions in the area. There's also a big Coop next door, which helped with provision. Nice clean and cosy place with a fully functional kitchenette. The owner, Alex, is very nice and accommodating. Great thank to him from us. Fully recommended for a nice, comfortable stay.

“Such a beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 24 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Had a lovely one night stay in the cottage for a friends wedding at nearby Clearwell castle. The cottage itself is very quaint and oozes charming character, despite it being on a road. Alex was extremely accommodating and welcoming, even leaving treats out for our dog who ended up coming with us

It was a lovely self contained cottage& Alex couldn't have been more helpful. Everything is near to hand and yes it is a little out of the Cotswolds but a good base if you have a car. You must visit Chipping Campden though on the way as lovely.

We stayed in this cottage for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our short break here. Its a handy location within the town. The owner Alex could not be more generous.
Cottage is finished to a high standard and everything works. Not many cottages can claim this.
A great place to relax after a busy day. Would have made more use of the large garden if the weather had been warmer.
Highly recommended if you are looking for home from home

“We loved it! Can we find time to return soon?”

We spend 3 nights at this lovely cottage and there was everything we needed.
The sofas were comfy, the shower roomy and water hot. Both bedrooms are spacious. We slept like babes in the front bedroom with the duck down duvet and pillows. The back bedroom overlooked the garden which twinkled at night, it was really pretty. The cottage garden had seating for us and we were invited to use the back garden too. I loved the cosy lounge great for chilling after a long walk. The stairs are not steep as you often find in cottages. The town is a short walk away and has a choice of supermarkets. I can recommend the micro pub and fish and chip shop next door to each other.
Alex was quick to reply to queries and suggested experiences he could book for us. He was welcoming and helpful, he ferried us to/from the railway station. There was milk, tea and coffee waiting for us so no need to rush to shops. We are looking forward to visiting again. We visited the Dean Forest steam railway which was a good day out and Puzzlewood which must not be missed. There's much more we want to visit and to return to the cottage after the long day is a nice thought.
