We stayed at the Pines for three nights a few weeks ago a family , party of 14 plus 2 small children.
Jay and Lucy were very welcoming, and took time to explain the features of the house, and also answered our questions on places to eat ad drink in Grantown.
The Pines is fabulously well equipped, with the huge Range cooker the main feature in the kitchen, industrial quality dishwasher,, very, large fridge and separate large fridge freezer, and very plentiful supply of all crockery etc.
Attention to detail and quality was evident too in each of the bedrooms, with very good quality bed linen, plentiful fluffy towels and good quality organic bathroom soaps.
The three very large well furnished lounges wee perfect for relaxing in the evenings, especially on the Saturday after our 10 miile sponsored walk.
For parties such as ours with small children, the large childrens playroom is very well stocked with a wide range of toys, and there's also the large garden with trampoline.
For dining, we used the very large formal dining room, on one of the evenings, and on the other evenings we dined less formally at the huge dining table/breakfast bar in the kitchen,
In summary, we really enjoyed our stay at the Pines, the quality of the accommodation is first class, the attention to detail and quality is evident throughout. We have no hesitation in recommending the Pines to others.

Thanks Lucy and Jay for a warm welcome and a great weekend.

We chose this house to continue our wedding celebrations with extended family and were absolutley delighted with it. It is extremely well appointed throughout with all that you could need and more: lovely touches such as toiletries in all the bathrooms, beautiful linen and towels, plenty space for a large group of people to spend time together and a glorious garden to relax and play.
The kitchen is fantastic and deserves special mention. Not only is it extremely well equipped, it has a cosy seating area to chat and became the hub during our week.
Lucy made us feel very welcome and the booking arrangements were so easy.
We had a fantastic week at The Pines and would highly recommend it.

We booked this large house for a family reunion. We had in total 24 persons over the week and the house was fantastic. It was very clean and plenty of space for everyone with 3 public rooms and a great dining room. All the bedrooms were very comfortable with en-suites. The kitchen was very well equipped, as one of the nights we cooked and fed 22 people. The location was excellent and the walks at the bottom of the garden were ideal for such a large group. The town had plenty of choice for eating out and provisions and we found the butchers particularly friendly. There were plenty attractions around the area to keep everyone amused. Our hosts of the house were very nice and there if required. If you were planning a big family event we would definitely recommend this property as we would all love to return one day. Thank you very much to Lucy and Jay, certainly great value for such a lovely place.

Well appointed large house with every thing you could possibly need. Lucy and Jay take pride in the house being clean and well equipped with all you could want. Bathrooms have large fluffy towels and lovely soaps, shampoo and shower/bath gel. The kitchen has everything you could want - that's if you want to cook as the local town has plenty to choose from for eat in or take out. If you want a bit of luxury Lucy can recommend a chef to come and cook in the house so you can sit in the lovely large dining room and be waited on.
The rooms are great with a choice of 3 lounges if you can tear yourself away from the fabulous kitchen.
When you need to work off all that food you can walk out the back of the house, through the woods and down to the River Spey. For the more adventurous how about white water rafting or walking in the fabulous Cairngorms. An hour away is Loch Ness and Inverness or beaches and harbours at Lossiemouth.
We managed to fit all of this in to our week there in July so thank you Lucy and Jay we had a great family holiday!
