Had been meaning to take a look for some time and finally got round to it. Was do surprised at how big and professional it is..... although I don't know why I thought it wouldn't be. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. They obviously loved what they were doing and the whole ethos of the place. I will go back as you can't take it all in the first time. Please please go you won't be disappointed....what else can you get for £2
An excellent place showing very interesting and enjoyable exhibits. Would highly recommend. Good nearby parking and very close to the sea at the most easterly point in England.
Visited on Thursday, lovely friendly welcome by 3 men in the entrance. Walked round reading and looking at so many different interesting items. There was also a kids activity room which was noisy but I just stayed away as had no children with me. Definitely be back again - thank you to the volunteers- amazing work
This museum is very good and important to the local area very good for younger and older interest and most important it survives a memorial to the wars
This was one of the finds of our holiday. Spent over an hour exploring excellent displays and I reckon that if you visited 10 times you would still find something new.
The staff were very friendly and able to answer any question thrown their way.
Well stocked shop to top it all.
One of 3 museums in the Sparows Nest below the lighthouse, also across the road are old rope walk, net drying racks, bouys and beach front walk to Ness point.
Lovely little museum, staffed on the day we visited by 2 very friendly knowledgable hosts - too much for me to take in. Loved seeing the hovercraft exhibit.
