We have just returned from our stay at Poppy's cottage with our two children (11 and 7). The accommodation and facilities were way beyond our expectations. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming.

We were extremely lucky with the weather and able to take full advantage of the wonderful secluded garden. The hot tub was a big hit! We had worried about keeping the kids entertained in the evenings (having previously always stayed at holiday parks with evening entertainment), but we needn't have been concerned! We spent several lovely evenings in the garden, using the BBQ and hot tub. The owners were even kind enough to allow us to pitch our (small) tent in the garden so our son could 'go camping' ! It was an absolutely fantastic place to unwind and simply enjoy chatting, laughing and being together as a family.

The twin room is down a short corridor, accessed via a door from the lounge/diner. It has a lovely en suite and is a good size. The children were thrilled as they felt they had their own wing of the house! The double bedroom was extremely comfortable, and storage was plentiful.

The kitchen was extremely well-equipped. Absolutely every utensil you could possibly want!

It was a wonderful, peaceful base from which to explore, though you may not want to leave the cottage to do so! I would definitely recommend Poppy's Cottage, we hope to return!

We travelled up from Kent and found Poppys Cottage very easily, although we made many stops as we was nearing our destination, due to the breath taking surroundings and the horses every where.
Once at the cottage we was greeted by Barry ( the owner ) he showed us through to the cottage and was very helpful with information of what was around the area and letting us know he was just a phone call away should we need him.
The cottage is beautiful, clean, spacious enough for 4 adults or 2 adults with 2 children, a lovely hotel tub in the secluded garden, every thing you could possibly need in the cottage.
We felt so relaxed and stress free.
When we went for days out, we found that we was only 10-20 minutes from any kind of attraction,be it family orientated or just for us older ones
Local shops, plenty of little farm shops.
We are going back again shortly and taking our children with us. I would highly recommend Poppys Cottage.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay and found all the facilities we needed. The beds and lounge furniture were very comfortable. We used the hot tub one evening and it was a highlight of our stay. It took a while to heat up but it was worth the wait.

“Amazing 4 days in Poppy's cottage”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We've just returned from 4 days away in Poppy's cottage with our year old son. The amenities were brilliant and after a day out sight seeing, the hot tub worked wonders. We used the hot tub three evenings and couldn't get our 7 year old out of it :-)
Barry the owner was friendly, helpful and informative about the local attractions, he also made us feel very welcome and ensured we were comfortable.
We would defiantly recommend Poppy's cottage and will retuning ourselves, as its a great base to visit the surrounding areas such as Lymington, Pool Key, Isle of Wight etc. After a busy day out getting back to Poppy cottage and just relaxing in the tranquil surroundings was perfect.
