“Guest house”
Reviewed 24 October 2020 for a stay in October 2020

The servants quarters is close to the local facilities shops, pubs etc. The property is a good base to travel around Buxton and beyond.

The linen and towels were fresh and crisps. All your needs are here for you. The place was clean, warm and cosy, it was like home from home.

The owners Pete and Catherine couldn’t have done more for us, making our stay relaxing and carefree.

“Perfect stay”

We arrived home today after a 5 night stay at The Servants' Quarters. I cannot praise the accommodation, or the warmth hospitality shown by the owners of The Servants' Quarters highly enough. With the current Covid situation we were both very much in need of a break and burnt out but equally wary and cautious about going away under the circumstances. The house is beautifully quirky, laid out over three floors with two bedrooms, each with an allocated bathroom on the street level and upper floor. The living room and dining kitchen are downstairs, leading to a lovely, gravelled garden with an outdoor seating area which is lovely for drinks and nibbles or a barbeque, The property is extremely well equipped with absolutely anything you could need in the kitchen. The location is ideal and in walking distance of numerous restaurants and pubs on the High Street and in the other direction the Pavilion Gardens and into the town centre area. What made the stay super special was the warmth and lovely hospitality shown by the owners who had excellent communication, felt like old friends, were never intrusive but couldn't do enough to ensure we had a lovely stay. The covid safety measures were spot on and thoroughly reassuring and we felt completely safe there. Upon arrival the house is well ventilated with hand sanitiser strategically placed and items had been quarantined prior to our arrival. Environmentally friendly products are provided and for each stay, the owners give a charitable donation. The premises have numerous TripAdvisor awards which are thoroughly deserved. Cannot recommend highly enough and will certainly be back, as previous commenters have stated. Thank you so much and your hospitality is very much appreciated and will be remembered during a difficult time.

“Peak view”
Reviewed 22 September 2020 for a stay in September 2020

The owner is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nothing too much trouble for him.
Delightful situation, ideal for seeing the Peak District. Picturesque villages, lovely walks, and very central for most things.
Highly recommended.

“Return visit”
Reviewed 9 September 2020 for a stay in September 2020

Our second visit in 11 months and once again very enjoyable. The Servants Quarters are excellently located close to the centre of Buxton and make for a comfortable stay. Our host, Pete Spriggs, provided a wealth of information before our visit and more was available on arrival.
The little basket of ‘goodies’ (including a bottle of wine) was much appreciated as were the warm radiators which took the chill off unseasonably cool September evenings.
