We spent the long may weekend with friends on that property.
We only used 3 out of the 5 rooms but our 4 year olds used them all playing and mostly hiding. That kept them occupied most of the day.
Rooms were spacious with almost everything you need.
Joanna the owner/keeper was very helpful. She kindly provided travel tips for the ferry, suggested dinning place and left for us to use discount cards. A bottle of wine, milk in the fridge and sweeties for the wee ones were waiting for us on arrival.
Heating was properly functioned and controlled by a thermostat.
House was clean but in places you could expect more attention to detail.
Weather helped so we used the bbq and of course walked along the sea ( which is just across the street).
It was a very pleasant weekend and we will stay again on the property on our next trip to Dunoon.
Just returned from a lovely weekend, the apartment is so spacious, although there were eight of us there was more than enough space for everyone, well equipped kitchen with a much appreciated dishwasher !! clean and tidy with lovely gardens. It is about a 20 min walk into Dunoon which was lovely as the weather was kind to us. Would have no hesitation in booking this property again. Doesnt really bother me too much but the wi-fi was excellent for anyone who can't live without it.
Just back from a long weekend at this property for our son's 21st Birthday. All 10 of us had a fantastic time, this 5 bedroom apartment was excellent. It's open plan kitchen and living room was ideal for all the family and the 5 bedrooms were great. The property was modern, clean and a great location. The views from the large front bay window was amazing. Wi-fi was an added bonus.
Would recommend Enmore Gardens to anyone and we will definitely be back.
Thanks again Joanna & Mark
Myself and my family stayed here over the Christmas week and we loved it. We visit Dunoon very often to see family but this is the first time we stayed at Enmore Gardens. The accommodation was much bigger than anticipated and we particularly liked the open plan living room come kitchen diner as there was plenty of room for all of us. The rooms were very nice; each were a bit different and quirky in different ways and there was plenty of storage space too.
While there was a bathroom (with shower) as well as a shower room and we were happy to share, these were ensuites to two of the rooms. So this may be a bit of an inconvenience for others, especially if all the rooms are full. The bathroom was great though - it was huge! Equally the kitchen layout was a bit awkward / unconventional in terms of where the sink was to where the ovens were for example. There were also no written instructions for how to use the ovens which would have been useful as we got caught out a couple of times. But it was mostly well stocked with crockery and utensils etc and again it was huge.
The location is great; a ~10min walk to the ferry and a ~15min walk to Dunoon town and in this area you're never too far from the outdoors (the pebble beach across the road, Benmore Botanic gardens etc etc). And the view from over the Clyde is gorgeous. There's plenty of off street parking too, which was very handy over the busy Holidays. While we personally didn't use it, there is a large shared garden at the back which would've been great if the weather had been better!
It did seem a bit unfinished in places and there seemed to be personal items left around but that's probably because it is still quite a new holiday let. We also had no wifi which we knew about as this hadn't been sorted by the time we arrived but it didn't bother us too much, and there were a couple of other little things which will certainly be resolved in future!
Overall it was a lovely property and we would certainly stay again in future!
Thanks very much for a great stay!
