Noisy we were kept awake all night with families taking in the hallway shouting and generally being a nuisance. Dirty rooms, especially the bathroom/ toilet. Miserable staff. The top of the beds in each room were both dirty. When I left I felt itchy. The cleaners really need to be told how to clean. Pictures attached.

Room tip: Good parking but not many disabled spaces

This is the worst Premier Inn we have staying in for a while. It is very dated and tired compared to other Premier Inns and needs some money spent to bring it up to date. Our room wasn't very clean, it was set up as a family room as there were two adults and two children. Under the double bed there was popcorn that had been dropped by the previous guests that hadn't been cleaned. Not only is this dirty and not acceptable but also a hazard as we had a young child who could have choked on it had he out it in his mouth. This isn't acceptable particularly during a pandemic which makes you wonder how hygienically clean the rest of the room was.

Breakfast in the restaurant next door was basic. Staff were a bit abrupt in ensuring we checked in on the NHS covid app, we thought we were already checked in as we had come from the hotel and had checked in on the app there. They didn't seem as strict to another family who weren't wearing any masks at all! Breakfast is currently ordered and delivered to your table due to the current restrictions but trying to get hold of extra napkins for kids was hard work! The breakfast was alright, nothing special and I got a free hair on my egg!

The hotel is in a good location but definitely needs updating, cleaning standards need to be improved and the breakfast set up improving. It hasn't put me off going to a Premier Inn again but I certainly wouldn't go back to this one or recommend this one to others.

We stayed here for 1 night never ever again it was the worst Premier Inn we have ever stayed in. We like Premier Inn but would never return here. We had 2 rooms as there are 6 of us both rooms was filthy and full of dust and the noise from other rooms was atrocious we informed reception and was told I check every hour and haven't heard anything I will tell them to keep it down it never stopped we've had hardly any sleep and we are all now tired for the rest of our journey.

Location was perfect for us seeing family, getting to the centre of Carlisle easily and getting to local amenities - plenty of days out/activities within an hours drive.
The room itself could do with updating but it was pleasant enough. There has been efforts to improve - re-grouting, curtains etc. But an overhaul would be more suited so it can be in line with the same standard you get at other Premier Inns, please don’t let that put you off though! Staff were lovely and friendly!
Adjacent restaurant is a Greene King and the food is ok, very similar to other pub food chains.
We will definitely stay again!

Probably the worst premier inn I have stayed in. Rooms very tired. Pillows were diabolical. Cheap and no fill in them. Had to ask for more as they hadn’t put enough for two each in the room. The receptionist made it feel like it was a chore to deal with. Delivery being made at 6am at the back of the hotel woke us up with cages being dragged across the car park for half an hour. Again receptionist not interested. If four people are stay in a room you would expect four of everything cups glasses drinks etc. No not this time. Had to ask for more again! And one hand towel for four! Pub next door was ok. Staff friendly and helpful but food not the best unfortunately. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. A real let down for a premier inn.
