We had a lovely stay here a few months ago. It's a perfect spot for children, with acres to roam, including a very beautiful orchard (blossoms were out when we were there, so it was particularly enchanting). There are a few ponds, so very young children would need a close eye, but for older children it is heaven to be able to run around the fields and trees and play. We also used the pool - it is used by the host family, so you need to get permission first, but it's a great thing to do on a rainy day. There are also some very friendly pets!
The views over the fields are lovely, and even though it feels quite remote, we were reasonably close to Taunton and lots of other West Country attractions. Although we kept ourselves busy, I suspect it would be quite a cosy spot for a winter getaway involving sitting by the fire and drinking wine. There is even a piano for those inclined.
Alan was very friendly, with lots of advice on things to do. It's perhaps not the best spot if you need a 100% reliable internet connection, but quite frankly with so much beautiful outdoor space, checking my emails was the last thing I wanted to do.
Well designed and laid out accommodation with character and a large garden.
All amenities we would wish for but, unfortunately not very well maintained!
I had the pleasure to stay over the new year period in this super cozy and well equipped cottage.
Alan the owner was very kind and super helpful. All my friends Loved the area (great pubs near by) and all said that they would stay again!! Thank you so much again Alan we all love every minute.
