Could do with better signage from the road
Once inside all areas could do with an upgrade, carpets past their best, bathrooms bit tatty, older style heating. Room was clean and well presented as premier always are in my experience and couldn’t fault the staff.
The Holmfield next door, offered lovely food. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Evening meals also cooked and presented very well, well done kitchen brigade waiting staff are super
All in all I’d recommend the place it’s sets in a very picturesque setting
Worth a try

Our second time here - both times due to proximity to the magnificent Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Family room is plenty big enough for two adults and a 3yo. Very quiet even though there was a wedding on (has been the case both times we've stayed). Room perhaps in need of an update/refresh but perfectly comfortable. Dinner was good value (not always true in Premier Inns) and the food was nice if not amazing. Our waitress Megan was on the ball though, despite also having someone to train at the same time , and she was great with our daughter. We skipped breakfast this time - our Premier Inn breakfast experiences have been consistently disappointing and there's a 24h McDonalds a 10 minute walk away. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if in the area, though I'd double check the bar staff had understood which wine I wanted - got it wrong first time.

Room tip: rooms at the back will be quieter on a Saturday night/function night

Group of us stayed here for one night .Yes the rooms could do with an update but very clean and the usual comfy premier Inn beds . The food was good in the restaurant and the staff could not do enough for you especially Megan who helped us with a birthday suprise . Great evening

Excellent Location and Premier Inn room standard. Close to City Centre with a huge park for those who fancy a run or walk.
I had read negative reviews for the food. What a great surprise. 3 Menus to choose from. I had freshly cooked Fish, Chips and Mushy peas with tartare sauce[couldn't eat it all]. Apple Pie and custard, A pint of cocaa cola. £9.94!!!I would usually pay 3 times that in some hotels for worse food. Saver menu before 6 pm I think.

Room tip: Food in hotel excellent value. I will do a review separately but the saver menu is nothing like a saver menu. wonderful.

Dated, dirty hotel.

Carpet in room was disgusting. covered in stains. Window wouldn't open so had to deal with no fresh air in a damp smelling hot room. Bathroom completely dated, cracked tiles, mouldy silicone, rusty grubby bath and taps. Staff no very helpful at all. all they could say is window doesn't open as not allowed as someone jumped out (we where on the ground floor.) They said as long as your bed was ok that's ok then.
