“This property is in need of attention”
Reviewed 14 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

This bungalow was close to the mumbles so very convenient for restaurants and also close to the coastal path so great for walkers. The bed was comfortable and the bungalow was clean. The kitchen was well equipped. Unfortunately there were quite a few things that let it down. The saying little things mean a lot comes to mind. There were hardly any instructions on how to use the appliances. It was damp and the heating controls were locked away . An electricity meter which needed pound coins , never had to pay for this before. Broken blinds in the bedroom, plug missing in the bathroom sink, an enormous basket in the shower that fell off every time you showered( I am a tiny size 10 ). This may seem like knit picking but all these things made it feel just like a holiday rental and nothing like a home .

Management Response

I’m very sorry that this visitor was disappointed with some aspects of her stay at Gower Bungalow. The appliances consist only of kettle, cooker, toaster, iron, microwave and electric heaters all of which are standard and very straightforward to use. We always ensure that the electricity meter is full before arrival of guests so it requires only top up where there is a lot of use. We will certainly look at the blinds and if broken they will be replaced.
Central heating is provided on a timer from October 1st until warmer weather in the spring usually April or May. The electric heaters provided are more than adequate to maintain comfortable temperatures. We make every effort to provide affordable and comfortable accommodation and we respond positively wherever possible to complaints or criticisms however small.

Really enjoyed our stay in this cozy and well-equipped cottage.
Stayed with my two daughters 8 and 4 and my little dog and they enjoyed it too.
Perfectly located for Mumbles town and in a very quiet cul de sac.
Handy two parking spaces as well.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 15 August 2018 for a stay in July 2018

The bungalow was decorated and furnished in a lovely, up to date, look. The pictures don’t do the size of the rooms justice. Lovely and spacious. Well equipped with cleaning materials and towels and tea towels. Extremely clean and did not smell “doggy” at all. A very nice gift of wine, Pringles and chocolates welcomed us. Beautiful area that we know well as we visit every year. The coastal path is an absolute must! There were a couple of technical issues through no fault of anyone that were dealt with by Paula swiftly and with apologies that really weren’t necessary. Love this place so much that we are going to return again next year and for years to come I’m certain. Thank you for the lovely stay Paula!

“Brilliant stay”
Reviewed 31 July 2018 for a stay in July 2018

Close to the coastal path, quiet but handy for all the amenities in Mumbles and Swansea. We had a fantastic week, enjoying the beaches.
It was lovely eating out in the back garden and there were facilities to easily hose down and dry wetsuits. The bungalow was smartly decorated, very clean and comfortable. The welcome goodies were a nice touch.

“Great base to explore this beautiful area!”

Loved this dog friendly cottage so cosy and cute. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owner even left goodies and basic supplies to help us enjoy our stay. Lovely garden and walk on coastal path opposite cottage. Highly recommended. X
