We could have spent many more nights at this lovely hotel. The interiors are lovely and traditional which is a nice contrast to a lot of the modernness of Oslo. When we got up very early on our departure day, the hotel desk person brewed us a very nice cup of coffee since the restaurant was not yet open. The rooms were very nicely decorated and homey. The bed was very comfortable and there were two pillows each.

Took the train from Bergen to Oslo on a tour. Thus we were only able to stay here one night. Great location close to palace, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is a step back in time with gorgeous chandeliers, woodwork, etc. The rooms are very nice with excellent bath products. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean and tidy.

We had to leave early to catch a flight. Upon check out we were given a breakfast to go. So very thoughtful and very appreciated. The drive to the airport is quite long so the food was greatly appreciated.

The polar opposite of Scandinavia clean, the Bristol has a wonderful weighty ambience, art deco, crying out solid middle class respectability and well placed in the centre of town. Magnificent dining room, or series of, with one off the best buffet breakfasts. Rooms more than adequate. Burn It comes with the cost of a capital city

The Bristol looks uninspiring from the outside but once you step inside the door it is a different world. 1920's opullence, crystal chandaliers, plush furnishings and an air of absolute elegance. The rooms are large, well mine was anyway, and the staff very helpful. It is in a central location just a few minutes walk from the royal palace, the hop-on-hop-off train and other sights.

Room tip: I was on the 3rd floor on the main street and I slept fine.

We had a beautiful room which had obviously been refurbished. The room was large (but when booking I noticed that there were a lot of small rooms).
But, we had the worst service trying to order coffees in the cafe downstairs.
The breakfast was very good with an excellent coffee machine and freshly squeezed orange juice. There was a good range of food to choose from.
The hotel is located on the edge of town near the theatre. The lifts are small and the towels in the rooms were thin.
