Although a small museum, I was surprised about the good way of displaying ancient history of the Finnmark region and the history of Hammerfest, with a focus on the German occupation and the reconstruction after WW II. A definitive plus are the rooms displaying the way Norwegians used to live in the either barracks or the rebuild modern Fiftieth style houses. Last but not least enables the tower of the building a wonderful view over Hammerfest.
This museum is definitive worth to be visited during a stay in Hammerfest!
