Tired of Austrian then this is a very good bet. Really nice decor and location. Delicious variety of foods with really interesting appetizers and salads (finally one that was not over dressed). Also have to say the deserts were great with interesting takes and flavors including peppered kumquats. Alexi was very informative about the wine list and introduced us to Pheasant's Tears. A delicious, earthy amber wine from Georgia. A bit slow but very much worth the wait.

It's a bit hipster, but not overly so - and the floral crockery just makes the tea taste better. The kitchen makes liberal use of eggplant and pomegranate, and the cardamom chicken with jerusalem artichoke is memorable.

Ansari is located just north of the channel, walking distance from downtown. Good choice of fusion cuisine, very high quality of the food. The interior is cosy and service is very good

We had the delicious starters platter and beef and lamb as main courses. Very good Austrian wines. The warm chocolate cake is yummy. The service is very friendly and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. Free newspapers and magazines add to the relaxed atmosphere.

Owned by a Georgian family we were told by friends that we should expect to wait between courses and we did. Apparently this is a tradition to take your time. But the food was excellent. Try the spinach pockets and eggplant rolls. Also, Stiegl Weiss Beer on tap is a must.
