What a wonderful place to sit back, relax and soak up the amazing scenery and setting of Hallstatt. We stayed here for a week at the end of July and loved every minute.
Our host, Ingrid was welcoming, friendly, considerate and helpful. She provided lots of useful information by email before we even arrived, and looked after us as if we were royalty throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and she really does provide everything you could need in the apartment - even a couple if bicycles, which allowed us to explore the village and lakeside.
The apartment itself has a well equipped kitchen, which is well stocked with herbs, spices, coffee, tea any many other useful essentials. There are also two little balconies where you can sit and enjoy the scenery.
The scenery, of course, is the main reason that we decided to visit Hallstatt in the first place, and we were not disappointed. Hallstatt is simply picture perfect, perched on the edge of the lake. (Oh yes, swimming in the lake on a hot day was perfect!). There are some great attractions in town: the salt mines and the ice caves, and further afield, the scenery continues to impress.

All in all, a comfortable and welcoming property, with a wonderful host, set in a place of outstanding natural beauty. We'll be back.

I stayed at the apartment rented by Ingrid with my husband for one week and it was truly a week to remember. Ingrid had absolutely everything that you could think of in the apartment, truly a home away from home. As per previous reviewers, we also ate quiet often at the apartment, sitting on the terrace looking out at the beautiful view over the lake. we arrived with a basic idea of what we wanted to visit and to do and we had an amazing time. Hallstatt has such a lovely character, bustling with tourists :). Definitely go and visit Dachstein, the views and the walks are stunning. we are already planning our next visit back as there is so much more that we want to see and do in this beautiful part of Austria :)

Hallstatt in a very beautiful place but staying here made our time there an even more memorable experience. As many of the views below state, Ingrid is a great host and has pretty much thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. The apartment itself is lovely...spotlessly clean and very comfortable to live in. The views were stunning. We stayed for a week and Ingrid was always available if we needed any help or advice. She even managed to get two bikes for us so we could cycle around the lake, which was a great experience. It was the perfect base to explore the surrounding area and a lovely place to come back to after hiking, cycling or just pottering around the town. I cannot recommend it enough...amazing.
