We stayed there for two weeks in November. We was given a one bedroom apartment, which to be fair, was roomy. On closer inspection, we found it to be filthy, there was a radiator in the bedroom, on the pipes close to the floor was thick, very thick grime, it looked like it had never been cleaned, and also on my side of the bed, the bedside top was the same down one end, I could not believe it, When I say it was pure filth, I'm being polite. Our cleaner was a lovely lady, but, the worst cleaner in the world lol. The evening staff, consisted on one person. And that person, had to check in other customers, show them to their room, man the shop, be the barman, and also the cook. The food is abysmal, absolutely everything came out the freezer, I ordered the chicken tikka, it was very burnt on the outside, and would you believe a bit of it was raw in the middle, proper filth, and the chips weren't cooked enough!!!! Safe to say we never ate in the "restaurant" again. You could not watch the tv in the room, cause there wasn't anything in english. The reception area was ok though. It's such a shame, because this hotel is in a good area, we had a view of the sea from our room. The best bit about our room, was the beds. They were great, firm, and we had a great nights sleep every night. There was mould in the bathroom, no microwave, the futon's were uncomfortable, and smelled, cooker was rank, on my husband's side of the bed, was cigarette burns, holes in the walls where the electric box was. The apartments were very basic at best. And security, what security lol. There is no way that this hotel is a 3 star, I would say it's 2 star at best. It needs some money spent on it, and firstly a proper deep clean of the rooms would really help. Having said all that, we had a great holiday, we hired a car, and drove into paphos, coral bay, over the mountain to polis and latchi....

Room tip: c13 has a view of the sea, but make sure it is cleaned properly, because ours wasn't.

We stayed for a week here and it's the worst place we've ever stayed. The room was dirty and our showerhead didn't work although was replaced straight away. The floor in our apartment was not cleaned once. The security also was questionable. Door to the apartment was not secure at all. Whole apartment was filthy and when I looked in the oven door I felt sick. Didn't go in the pool once as this was also filthy. Dead bugs and leaves floating in it. The bar area was also filthy. Don't know the last time that the glass windows were cleaned. Would return to Paphos but would never return to The Hilltop Gardens.

We spent 7 nights in the Hilltop Garden Apartments. The accommodation was clean and well serviced throughout our stay. We were staying on a bed and breakfast vacation. The breakfast although enough and tasty I would have liked a bit more options (e.g fresh fruit or some local delicacies yoghurt or cheese, maybe olives and village bread). The staff were very friendly I would recommend trying your Greek language it is much appreciated. Simple phrases Kali Mera Kali Spera, Kali Nichta and of course efharisto (please) barakalau (thank you). The apartments were sited within walking distance from the main tourist strip tombs of the kings road as well as more local taverna and pubs. They also had their own bar which was well stocked and a good food menu available which was also very reasonably priced. If like us you rent a car this is a very good base for exploring the Paphos region. Although I did not use the pool area it looked very inviting clean and well looked after. The local beach was about 1 km walk away and well worth a visit. These apartments had everything I need for the type of holiday I like.

We have just returned from a fortnight at the Hilltop, and once again we had great service and a great time at the Hilltop. From the moment you arrive, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Reception staff are exceptional !
We found the rooms to be in a good condition, clean and regularly serviced. The communal areas and bar are also kept well, and there are staff on hand 24 x 7.
This is a perfect place to stay, slightly away from the main hustle and bustle of Paphos, but everything can be easily reached on foot, or by bus, and being a little further out, there is no noise at night.

Room tip: Rooms with a sea view are available

Stayed here for three weeks. Reception was excellent arrived late but receptionist was friendly and helpful. We had requested a high floor room with an inland view..which we were given and were delighted with the large apartement..clean, comfortable and a wonderful breeze which blew through it which meant we didnt need to use the air conditioning. Cleaned regularily, sheets and towels cleaned virtually every day. Kitchen very basic, but managed on the odd days that we cooked. Fridge broke down but we had a new one installed within the hour! Pool area lovely...surrounded by mature trees and plants...reception area and lounges beautiful and relaxing. Bar staff...who also worked on reception, the small shop and did the cooking too..worked so hard and were friendly and helpful. The food wasnt too bad either!!! Hotel was in a quiet location...near to main road, bus stops and supermarket...as well as local places to eat...10mins walk from hotel..only fault we had was not of the hotel...but the amount of litter leading to it. Used Hire care company recommended by hotel...Nestoras Rentals Limited..1.2 litre car..rented for 20euros a day. Did have clutch problem with car but a replacement was delivered within 30mins. For my 70th birthday we went to Minotavros, Greek family restaurant, no loud music, wonderful staff..wonderful meal and wine..was even presented with a birthday cake by the management and staff..who all came out to sing happy birthday too me!!!Highly recommended.
Buses regular and always on time..all day pass for 5euros At the bus terminal, lovely wee cafe selling the best ever coffee and croisants...called Le Croisantariee!
Hotel is 3star but so much better than 5star where you are just a number and not a person...we'd have no hesitation in recommending that you stay here.

Room tip: Inland rooms have partial sea view and are quieter. Higher floor rooms catch the breeze.
