We have stayed 5 times in the village and eat at Iris Taverna nearly every night we stay! The host-Dimitris-is a very friendly man who looks after his customers well. Many of the Cypriot specialities and grills are on the menu, including dips. One night I asked for pastourma, but it was not available, but the next night Dimitri had it as he had been and bought some for me that day-it's that kind of place! The grills are all perfectly cooked by Nikos-we enjoyed pork and chicken souvlaki, sheftalia and lamb chops. The moussaka was also delicious and they make an excellent village salad. All of course, was washed down with Cypriot wine. The prices at this very friendly place are also very reasonable. On our second night a local lad came in with a bouzouki and we were asked to join Dimitri and friends at their table where we had a performance of traditional bouzouki music and a sing-a-long with those songs we knew( sort of!). We were vey sad to leave after our 7 nights in the village.
