Location is great. Centrally located to shops, food, bars, the bus terminal, lots of historic sights ... we spent 3 full days just walking around to places in town. These are old buildings and updating them is tricky, so a few quirks here and there, but nothing show stopping. The apartment is smaller than it looks in the pictures. 4 adults may be hard pressed to manage here. We were 3 adults and it worked. The interior stairs are a little treacherous, centuries of wear has made them a bit wonky. I enjoyed it except when carrying the suit cases in and out. Be aware that this is in the heart of the old city, sound travels amazingly well ... this is not a ding on the apartment, it is just a word of advice. Once the shops and bars close up, it is very quiet. But sound echos throughout the streets. Everything works well, a little better bathroom ventilation would be nice. Only real negative is that the clothes rack for drying clothes is too big to fit on the old enclosed balcony so we had to have it angled into the main room. With the room already being small, it was a bit of a pain. Finally remember Malta is a humid place. Takes a long times for things to dry. Open windows for air as much as you can.
