The City Hall has a great tourist information office and public display about the evolution of community planning in Reykjavik including development models and a huge three dimensional model of Iceland.
The City Hall is down at the bottom of Laugavegur, at the end of the Pond. An interesting building with a huge 3-D model of Iceland, and lots of tourist info and maps. The building butts up against water on two sides. Worth a visit in an interesting area of town.
We didn't go inside the City Hall building; but we did spend some time watching the ducks, geese, seagulls and swans at the lake. For bird lovers, this is a nice (and free) place to visit in Reykjavik.
See previous review praising Josef who helped us book our tours.
The building itself is beautiful, so it's a great place for tourism.
modern building next to a small lake. Expedition of the town in side. Dry place to sit. outside seating for use in good weather.
