Owner description: The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

It's a museum that was built for this very ship, so by the concept you can tell it's very special. I knew I would see a huge ship, but it was really breathtaking in real life. You only need to pay for the entry, once inside the movie and the guided tour is free of charge, which is nice as they are very useful and add extra value to the experience.

I have been to a fair few museums in my time but this comes as one of the best. The museum talks you through the history of the great ship and to actually have the ship centred in the middle of the museum completely brought it to life!

We visited here as part of the Stockholm two day pass and got the hop on hop off boat across. It’s a unique well laid out informative museum and an impressive historical ship. Worth a visit if you have the pass, not sure how much it cost without the pass. Didn’t seem to have a cafe but a few options nearby.

A grandious ideea built around a 16th century wreckage! It's absolutely humbling to feel so small next to the a ship that seems to be taken out of The Pirates of the Carribean!

This museum definitly worth a visit. I scheduled a half an hour visit and I stayed 2 hours and half. From the entrance, you don't be able to resist a "WOOW!", The Vasa is splendid, huge, magnificent, incredibly well preserved.... the story and the history related to this warship are amazing. I advice to follow the guide, in 20mn t8me she will give you all the important information in an incredibly clear way than you can spend time looking around the 6 different floors to discover the details of this wonder (I attached some photos but none can show 1% of the real beauty of this treasure).
