We stayed here for a few nights in early May and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel has a nautical theme with rooms named for sea captains, and we had the Captain Lilja room. It was beautifully appointed, large enough, and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had adorable blue and white tiles in the shower and a heated towel rack. Although the hotel is in a popular area of Stockholm, there was virtually no noise to disturb sleep. The hotel is perfectly located to explore Stockholm's Old Town, and an easy walk to the central train station.

The breakfast room is on a lower level and offers a wide range of delicious foods and beverages. Each floor has a small table with teas for guests to help themselves at all hours, another gracious touch.

Staff is super helpful and friendly. They can schedule private sauna times for guests in the hotel sauna, which we heartily recommend. We had a glitch when we checked in, and the reception ladies did their best to figure out what had happened, eventually succeeding. I had booked our room online with Cancelon from TripAdvisor's website. Cancelon booked us for the wrong nights, and I saw it immediately and notified them. Over the course of a few weeks and a long chain of emails, they assured me that they had corrected the problem with an employee of the hotel. I emailed the hotel to verify this, and was assured that they did, in fact, have the correct dates. When we checked in, the lady at reception said the reservation had not been paid for yet, although we had paid for it with Cancelon. In the end, the ladies at reception discovered that the booking had been paid for and they saved the day. A word of caution: book with the hotel directly or with a booking service that you have successfully used in the past. After this weeks-long, email-filled fiasco that I'd been told was settled when it was not, I would NEVER recommend Cancelon to anyone.

Hotel Victory is full of warmth and charm and is located in the equally charming area of Gamla Stan. The decor is a nautical theme, harking back to the days of wooden ships and canvas sails. The front desk is extremely helpful and pleasant. Our room was comfortable with a large window overlooking a patio area that is associated with a downstairs bar. But with the excellent windows, you heard no noise at all. The bathroom was large with two separate sinks and lots of hot water along with a heated towel rack. The breakfast was offered in the cellar area of the old building, which resembeled a cave complete with the remnants of an old watch tower. Breakfast was very good and choices were plentiful. Up and down the narrow cobblestone streets surrounding the hotel are shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. We also walked to all the major sights from our hotel. It was good value for the money and we highly recommend Hotel Victory.

I booked this from trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. It is expensive and the décor a tad jaded but quirky, however the ambience is delightful. Situated in a quiet street in the old town, 20 minutes walk from Central Station, on the door step of lots of little shops and restaurants, a comfortable walk from all main attractions. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is good and there is a cosy bar/restaurant.
I would definitely book this hotel again

Loved this place. Located perfectly in Old Town, within walking distance of almost everything. Convenience store, shops, restaurants, bars, metro stop...all just minutes away. It is the cutest and most quaint hotel ever. The staff is amazing. All the girls at front desk are so polite and friendly but I must mention Jennifer in particular, as she was just fabulous with all her help and suggestions. Room clean with everything in proper working order. Breakfast has the necessary choices you need to get started for the day. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
