We stayed here for a few nights in early May and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel has a nautical theme with rooms named for sea captains, and we had the Captain Lilja room. It was beautifully appointed, large enough, and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had adorable blue and white tiles in the shower and a heated towel rack. Although the hotel is in a popular area of Stockholm, there was virtually no noise to disturb sleep. The hotel is perfectly located to explore Stockholm's Old Town, and an easy walk to the central train station.
The breakfast room is on a lower level and offers a wide range of delicious foods and beverages. Each floor has a small table with teas for guests to help themselves at all hours, another gracious touch.

Staff is super helpful and friendly. They can schedule private sauna times for guests in the hotel sauna, which we heartily recommend. We had a glitch when we checked in, and the reception ladies did their best to figure out what had happened, eventually succeeding. I had booked our room online with Cancelon from TripAdvisor's website. Cancelon booked us for the wrong nights, and I saw it immediately and notified them. Over the course of a few weeks and a long chain of emails, they assured me that they had corrected the problem with an employee of the hotel. I emailed the hotel to verify this, and was assured that they did, in fact, have the correct dates. When we checked in, the lady at reception said the reservation had not been paid for yet, although we had paid for it with Cancelon. In the end, the ladies at reception discovered that the booking had been paid for and they saved the day. A word of caution: book with the hotel directly or with a booking service that you have successfully used in the past. After this weeks-long, email-filled fiasco that I'd been told was settled when it was not, I would NEVER recommend Cancelon to anyone.
