We had a lovely week in this stunning villa which supplied our every need. We especially appreciated the welcome pack of fresh bread, butter, milk and delicious jam as well as the tea and coffee supplied.
As well as relaxing by the pool and on the beaches close by we enjoyed exploring the old town of Kyrenia with it beautiful harbour and castle. We also paid a visit to the town of Bellapais, made famous by Laurence Durrell, and explored the ruined abbey high on the mountain with stunning views of the sea. We took a dolmus to Nicosia and explored the old town and took in the very Turkish atmosphere there. We spent a day at the ancient city of Salamis and the lovely beaches along the coast there.
We would definitely visit again.
The villa was just as described if not better. Clean, comfortable, all mod cons in a beautiful setting with a fantastic private pool. We were 4 adults (2 couples) staying together and there was plenty of space to spread out and even avoid each other if we so wished. Options for sitting out were great with terraces front and rear and 2 balconies also.
If you could drag yourself away from the pool the views were beautiful and the pretty little local village was adorable with shops, restaurants and bars at very competitive prices. Our standard evening meal with alcoholic drinks for 4 adults was on average £50 (much cheaper than anywhere else we have stayed).
A car is recommended in order to get about easily - we hired a soft top jeep purely for the fun factor which turned out to be a huge risk factor so next time we will definitely hire a decent car but this did not deter our little ventures out and about.
To summarise I cannot say enough good things about this villa and would highly recommend it.
Stayed in the villa in August 2017 it was perfect home from home with nothing being too much trouble for the owners. Very well equipped inside and out. Village five minutes drive with a FANTASTIC restaurant. Provision is made at the villa for indoor cooking or barbecuing but everything is so cheap we ate out most of the time. The people are so lovely very welcoming. I do however have two complaints; we had to come home and we should have booked for longer, will sort the later out next time.
Perfect for relaxation and recharging your batteries.
When we talked as a family we could literally think of nothing that needs changing about this villa. It has absolutely everything you would need for a fantastic holiday. The villa is well-equipped, the pool area is fantastic and the air con an absolute essential in the heat of summer. The owners are helpful and welcoming without being in anyway over-bearing, a difficult balance to strike sometimes but one they manage very successfully. We hope to come back again next year, surely the best confirmation that this is a villa certainly worth serious consideration for a family holiday.
Two things to mention - neither of which in any way had a negative impact on our holiday but worth bearing in mind for others:
- You have to have a car, there is really nothing within any reasonable walking distance in terms of shops, restaurants etc. This didn't matter at all to us and was made clear by the owners but definitely worth bearing in mind when booking.
- The heat - we went late July to early August - it was very, very hot. There is plenty of shade available by the pool from parasols and the air con in the villa is very effective but it is very, very hot. Something to bear in mind for families, particularly with young children.
All in all we had a holiday that we will never forget, I am thrilled to have stumbled across this gem of a villa and just hope it doesn't get too popular so that we can visit again!
I rented this property for family members visiting me in Esentepe and was not disappointed. The villa is in a lovely spot with both sea and mountain views. It's about 5 mins to the centre of Esentepe which has shops and bars. (you will need to hire a car if staying here)
The owners were attentive but never intrusive.
All in all a very enjoyable stay
