This was our fourth visit to Almanak and we still think it's wonderful. Our starter was a slightly fermented scallop dish that was cooked to perfection. The main course (pork) was also perfectly cooked and so tender it almost melted in your mouth. The chocolate dessert was fantastic -- not as sugary as most desserts, so the other flavours of nuts and berries were evident. The service was slow to start, but after we ordered, was very good. The wine suggestions were perfect, and the two sommeliers were very knowledgable. We will be back!

I saw the restaurant during the boat tour on a good weather and we popped in after. We had 5 open sandwiches for two and two juices. They were above average but nothing with a wow factor.

The price in the end was 750 dk ( roughly 100-150 eur) and i know denmark is obscenely priced still 35 dk for a coffee ( almost 6 eur)

So it has a great deck good staff and view. Definitely good for relaxing on a sunny afternoon and good place to catch a small bite.

Went for a quick lunch, great place in the old custom house by the harbour. Nice bright room with beatiful views interior in a simple Scandinavian style. Great selection of modern interpretations of the Danish lunch classics (open faced sandwiches). A modern twist but never forgetting the roots of it all. Friendly efficient service. Great value for Money - and cheap, really, for this kind of quality experience.
Will be back. (Again).

Nice ambience, by the promenade.

Menu too weird, supposedly fish, but too smelly. There's also a pork dish which is basically full of fat.

As in other places of this gourmet sort of dining, where one pays 150 Krone (some 20 euros) for 75 grammars of food, there is a 25 Krone charge for tap (!) water. You’d think with this kind of prices they would at least offer that for free.

Finally the staff, ostensibly polite but in essence rude: they seem to think that working in an expensive place somehow entitles them to be ironic.

We went there with a bigger business group for dinner. One highlight was that we could go there directly with our boat form the canal tour.
The restaurant looks from outside like an old diner and inside you have a very clean and trendy atmosphere. The food is very delicious and you get very good service.
It’s more on the expensive side but definitely worth it to go!
