Owner description: Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

Just as amazing to see/visit in person as is in all the typical photos you have prob seen! My wife and I walked the channel here and there were alot of old or "old" looking sailboats and boats with amazing craftsmanship in there construction lots of shops and hotels are located here as well. I highly suggest having an outdoor lunch here in the summer, lots of spots to eat and for a good price too if budgeting there are places that will accommodate.

Nyhavn....Can't say enough for this area of Copenhagen. It is stunning! Although this is Copenhagen, and, everything is expensive, I would return in a heartbeat!

Despite it being late April, the place was absolutely packed. We could barely move along the pier. This spoiled the experience a bit and made photoshooting a chore. The place looks lovely with boats and colorful houses but I wouldn't rush back.

A beautiful part of Copenhagen to just drift and wander. A nice range of places to eat and drink. Well worth a visit.
