“What a fine, typical aegean, beach!”
Review of Gialiskari Beach

Reviewed 13 July 2018 via mobile

Less than a km from the port, to the north, is the beach of Gialiskari. Small, cozy, with an eucalyptous grove on its back and a neat beach bar.
Very cool.

We walked to this beach from Korissia, the main port town of Kea, about a mile along the road. Approaching the beach, the views are wonderful, and the beach itself lovely. Avoid the rental cabanas and just put your towel or chairs down in one of the shady spots. It’s a great swimming beach, with cool, clear azure waters. Classic Cyclades.

To tell the truth this beach is one of the best of Kea island. Easy to approach, if you don't have a car and you stay at the port, it's a 10 minutes walk. It is an organized beach but again the umbrella sets are very expensive. 14 euros per set. Price per Freddo cappuccino is 4 euros served in plastic cup. This beach is good for couples after 17:00 hours because children have left. I also recommend it during meltemia weather phenomenon.

We went there for our morning swim! There was a beach bar really nice, but you must make a reservation.
