Service - extremely welcoming, both receptionists speak good English, especially Dimitri. Everything you require is sorted almost immediately. We were even offered fresh fruit while we drank our wine in the courtyard; at no extra charge.

Food - MUST GO HALF BOARD. Breakfast gets brought into your room at the time you choose, with a lovely selection of pastries, breads, jams and honeys and Greek yogurt. Also coffee, tea and orange juice. For dinner you get 1 voucher per night which entitles €26 to cover the bill (for 2 of us). The restaurant is called Karnagio and overlooks the marine lake, just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. We never had to overspend as the restaurant is very fairly priced. The food was brilliant, such a large choice! This voucher also covers your drinks.

Hotel - we had the superior double which was lovely; very nice decor and furnishings. Nothing we’ve ever stayed in abroad before, definitely a boutique feel about the whole place. Unfortunately we didn’t have a private seating area with our room so we would recommend upgrading to a better room if you’re after a balcony/private outside space. There is a lovely little communal courtyard where you can relax at any time as it’s peaceful, shady and comfortable (they have a hammock!) with a partial view of the sea.

We’ll definitely be booking for next year! :-)

I spend 3 nights in Porto Maltese during my trip across Greece and I was more than amaized with the place. The hotel is situated in the center of the town with a beautiful view for a port and mountains. The room was a good size with big double bed and very clean, nicly arranged and very cosy. I could stay all day on the balcony watching the port. The staff was very helpfull . Dimitri who is on the front desk was always to my disposition, patienly answering my questions and giving me tips about the town and what is worth to see. By the way he speaks perfect English so no problem in here. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is definitely worth for the money and i could recommend it to everyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in good price and great standard.

Would want to echo all the good things said by previous reviewers. Superb location - fascinating building. We stayed in one of the Honeymoon suites. It was spacious and comfortable and offered first rate views from the balcony. Really wanted to give this place full marks but the bathroom in general and the shower in particular needed an upgrade. Also beware of the number of steps to be climbed because there is no lift. Will finish off by saying that Dimitri deserves all the praise he gets and the housekeeping standards are brilliant.

The entrance to the hotel is very inviting. Really pretty spacious rooms. Extremely good location close to the lake, restaurants and beaches. View of the ocean from our room. Lovely! Recommend 100%
