This wonderful boutique hotel is ideally located. The decor is perfect.
For us the key was the incredible view from the top floor suite! Lying in the comfy bed with a direct view of the Acropolis through your double window is awesome. The bath is spacious and includes a double shower!
Our group had 3 rooms and all were impressive.

Room Tip: East: Room 401

I love this hotel with its quiet elegance and friendly staff. It enjoys a great location just two blocks from the Monastiraki Metro Station and about a 15 minute walk through the Plaka to the Acropolis Museum.

Room Tip: get a room with a balcony

The Emporikon was perfect for us. It was a lovely clean room with a little balcony. You could see the Parthenon and enjoy the activity of the street below. The bed was comfortable, as was the single sofa chair.
We loved that there was cold (non alcoholic) drinks in the fridge which they were happy to replenish during the day.
The shops, eateries and the attractions are all walking distance.
The staff were friendly and happy to give directions and eating suggestions. Nothing was too much. It was also nice to hear about the history of the hotel, see old photos, it is 100 years old and was restored a couple of years ago.
There are many churches in the area, so beware of the chiming bells, as early as 7am.
Will defiantly stay here again :-)

Room Tip: With balcony, not sure how much more expensive it was. We chose for the view.

Great location right in the heart of the action! Gorgeous renovated hotel so authentic. Great advice on the sights to see and such friendly service. What a treat to have a view of the Acropolis from the balcony! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Definitely worth getting a room with an acropolis view!
