The location of the hotel was great. Easy to get around with a taxi or on foot. Great view of the lighted Acropolis from the rooftop of the hotel. Clean rooms and great breakfast. Would definitely stay there again. Quaint hotel with extremely small elevators! They are glassed and look bigger than they are. Beats walking up stairs with luggage :)

This hotel has an excellent location very close to Syntagma square, shopping and restaurants. The express bus X95 is just around the corner and the hop on hop off buses have stops across the road. Our room was rather big with a balcony overlooking a park and the Parliament. It was very clean and each day the room was done when we came back after breakfast. The breakfast was good with many choices. The staff made us feel welcome.

I've been here with friends for a long weekend.
That's a nice and clean hotel, which is located right in the center of Athens. It's close to the Metro, and you can walk to the Acropolis, to the meat market, the flea market, and tons of pubs and restaurants.
All the facilites in the hotel are OK. The breakfast is avarage, and repeats itaelf every day.
Bottom line, if you're looking for a well located hotel with a reasonable price - that's the place for you.

Very very nice hotel, perfect location to visit everything there.
We were in Athens for the arathon, and the buses driving the runners from Athens to the start line in marathon started just in front of the hotel.
The only two bad points to be noted... they forgot that I booked the room with pre-payment ! Luckuly I had the proof with me so they couldn't charge me twice.
The other thing is the airport shuttle : we paid 65 euros to come in (arranged by the hotel), and paid 38 while leaving (normal taxi driver that we met during our stay). It looks the taxi rate are fixed for the airport so, even if I can get that the hotrel needs to get a margin, I feel this one very big !

Dear Valued Guest,

Many thanks for writing a review for Amalia Hotel Athens.

We are happy that you stay was pleasant and you appreciated our unique location in Athens. We are sorry about the different fare for the taxi booked by the hotel. Certainly the price is different when a private transfer is arranged - this taxi is waiting for you at the airport. The one you probably took was a taxi taken in the street.
We look forward to welcome you again at Amalia Hotel Athens in the future.

We stayed at the Amalia hotel for 4 nights in November and we found the hotel in a really good position for seeing the sights around the city ,the hotel is opposite the park and just along the road from the Parliament building where you can watch the national guard marching.
The hop on hop off bus stop is also just across the road .
The Plaka district where you can find good restaurants and tavernas, and the Acropolis is within easy walking distance.
We stayed in a standard room which was a good size and very comfortable , the bed was huge and very comfy , we were at the back so no view but no road noise either.
The bathroom had a bath and shower and the bathroom and room as a whole were kept spotlessly clean .
The staff were very good and we found them friendly and informative , service was very good , we ate in the hotel restaurant once and found the food very good quality and at a reasonable price.
The only negative was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room , however staff were happy to give us hot water when ever asked. I would recommend I this hotel to family and friends without hesitation.
