We just had a single night stay here with a group tour.
Our room was large and very well-equipped, and the air-conditioning was excellent (quiet and very efficient).
The room and bathroom were superficially clean enough, but a bit dusty/sticky in less conspicuous places (noticed when I was looking for something I’d dropped!) There were also a few minor maintenance issues – For example, the soap dispenser brackets on the wall had clearly come away, so it was just standing on the counter, and the curtain had come off a few of the hooks so didn’t close completely. The view from the window was of a run-down small block of flats directly opposite.
The only restaurant/bar in the hotel is on the top floor. Both the hotel’s website and a sign in the lift suggest that there is also a restaurant called Fos on the ground floor, but this apparently does not actually exist – and a male receptionist was quite rude and dismissive when I asked about this.
The views of the Acropolis and city from the top floor of the hotel are fabulous – There is even a telescope (which functioned very well) on the terrace to enable an even better view!
We had a drink in the restaurant/bar after arriving, but despite the lovely views, we decided not to have dinner here as it seemed a little too warm inside and there was some loud music.
Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of choices as you would expect in a hotel of this class. (However, there was no food to order, such as omelettes.) The manager who greeted/seated us at breakfast was friendly and efficient. Despite the restaurant seeming quite small for the size of the hotel (and it was very busy), there was no queue and all the food items were constantly replenished.
I have noticed some other reviews have commented on the area in which the hotel is located. However, despite this – and my own comment about the view from our window at the back of the hotel – I would not say the area felt unsafe. We took an evening walk out of the hotel for dinner, and noticed that there seem to be a number of other hotels and restaurants in the area – indeed, two or three other hotels are visible almost from the front door. We were recommended an excellent restaurant which is almost next-door to the hotel.
For interest, the ‘Fallen Aviators Monument’ is on the roundabout just in front of the hotel!
