Description: Very Important. It is necessary to reserve a table every day in advance. The cellar of the villa is a small but cozy restaurant, where you can find the best of Portuguese cuisine, good meat, good sausage, good seafood, good cheese and fine wines. The fact that it allows a small family-type care near where guests feel almost at home. The Adega da Vila's decor is very typical wine honors the traditions and Portuguese.

If you are in the area you must go to this restaurant, the food is excellent from start to finish. The decor and the relaxed atmosphere is also very good.
However what makes this place even better is the owner . He is very friendly always walking with a smile on his face. He is also very helpful when selecting the wine and the food and certainly does not point you to the expensive items on the menu.
I highly recommend this place, it is a fantastic experience.
You need to book in advance.

Very nice place and the host was kindly and funny and explain us all the menu! The “best chocolate cale in the world” was very good, also the sausage and the cheese! Good job.

That's pretty much what it is. Fried greasy food, overpriced and doesn't deserve the rating it has here.

We had dinner at Adega de Vila this week and went there because of several good ratings of this restaurant. However, the experience was quite different. We ordered
- Portuges potatoes with garlic and olive oil: Instead we got chips. The waiter told us potatoes is always chips. Did not know that before, always thought that there is a difference between cooked potatoes, french fries, smashed potatoes or chips. Now I know potatoes is always chips.
- Chorizo sausage with brandy sauce: Instead we got burned, pretty cold chorizo without sauce (seemed like heated in the microwave and not freshly prepared, but in fact I do not know this)
- Chicken with herbs: Instead we got industrial breaded kind of chicken with curry (I had ordered that for my 5 year old child and had asked whether it is spice and the waiter negated that)
- tomate: we really got sliced tomato: good job for the cook, he got the tomato sliced ;-)
- spice chicken: we got a industrial produced spring roll
- portwine: I asked what kind of portwine they offer and the waiter asked me to taste: It was okay so I ordered a glas. Afterwards it turned out that I had to pay two full glasses of portwine

Finally when we got the bill, they charged us the bread which we did not order. This was the most expensive diner I had in Portugal, including a very good tapas bar in central Porto where we were a party of three thus one more adult and had more food.

Conclusion: There is a Se Vende (for Sale) sign at the house- hopefully they need to close. It is absolutely horrible food and they look ruined. Stay away. The good ratings seem to be pretty old and times change unfortunately.
