This is not a complaint or anything, but the studios do not have beds. All they have a is a sleeper sofa, or a pull out couch. That might not be a problem, but if you expect a bed during your vacation, this is not the place for you unless you book the 1 bedroom appartment.

We have stayed in Funchal a dozen times and, if we return, it will be to the Form Plus.

It is our policy nowadays to either chose room only, or B & B, as we like the freedom to go where we like on an evening so this managed apartment complex seemed ideal. We went for a one bedroomed apartment and were amazed at the size of it; it's the sort of size you would be pleased to live in! It wasn't just clean, it was immaculate.

The cleaners invited us to look at an empty 2 bedroom apartment they were working on and it was enormous.

Open plan, except for the bedroom and bathroom, it had a decent sized, good quality fitted kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, double sink, toaster and citrus juicer. A four ring gas hob and full size oven completed the ensemble. Good quality tableware and cutlery for two. Heavy duty pots and pans. The only thing we felt was missing was a can opener.
A proper dining table and four chairs.
A comfortable settee and a unit with a 21" approx. flat screen TV. Two large double full length sliding widows on one side, another on the end wall; all opened easily and made it bright and airy.

A good sized bedroom with a comfortable double bed, sliding doors leading to a decent sized balcony.

Marble tiled bathroom with a whirlpool bath.

Private, safe, FREE, underground parking.

So, what else do you need to know?

The receptionist was charming and helpful, but the place is unmanned at weekends, Weekdays it is open 09:00 - 12:00, 15:00 - 1900 so if you are looking for 24/7 help the hotel is not for you. I would have given 5* rating for service if it wasn't for the restricted hours.
Hotel access is easy with a code, and a keycard for you room (one each).
If you like breakfast the Opan coffee shop within 50 metres is super value with excellent coffee.
The hotel is part of the Forum shopping complex which has a large supermarket as well as shops and eating places.
Busses to town and a taxi rank are just the other side of the road. The next street up has bars and restaurants used by locals.
No pool, but two bathing complexes close by
