We stayed here for one night for the last night of our honeymoon. We had a free upgrade to a premium room which was appreciated and possibly lucky because whilst the rooms are well appointed they are not actually terribly large. The design is beautiful, with things like under bed lighting, electrically operated blinds and curtains, The beds were comfortable (we asked for a double, it was actually twins put together but that's not hugely unusual) and crucially, air conditioning.
It could have done with additional plug sockets by the beds and the bathroom, whilst spotless, was rather squeezed in.
However, those are small details really - the service was friendly and efficient, good breakfast and the food was good when we ate there at lunch the following day.
Bar prices were a bit high we felt, we decided not to drink there, but the ambience and design was again stunning.
In terms of location - perfect! Our room overlooked the square and there was building work going on next door, so there was some noise but certainly no worse than you would expect, perfectly acceptable for the circumstances. Easy reach of the main historical sites nearby, with buses, trams and tuktuks all right outside, and only a short walk down to the sea front. Couldn't have been better for location.
Recommended if you want something a little upmarket and different.More
