This hotel located in city center with many Transportation facilities around.
Our Family Suite was spacious with Good furniture and a Terrace as Bonus. Completely Soundproof isolated.
Available Staff were Friendly but they are limited on this hotel.Breakfast area was good in space and the breakfast acceptable with limited choice.
The most Negative point in the whole stay was the housekeepers, they barely clean the room (removing the trash bin, making bed and replacing towels) they don't refill the amenities even after being reminded and we have to call the reception several times to bring us new things, also they didn't once vacuumed the floor i once mistakenly dropped some sugar and until the day i checked out was still there. Can on Terrace Table never removed during our stay. This need a serious action from Management as the hotel very nice.

Room Tip: For Family suite book the one in 2nd floor ( Room 210) its the only one with a terrace

This is one of the most charming hotels I have stayed in. There are many thoughtful little details. From fruit infused chilled water at the reception, the most amazing beds, a Nespresso machine in the room and multiple other details.

We just spent 4 nights at the Lisboa Carmo Hotel and it was wonderful. The location is great, right across from Carmo Square which is lively and has music in the afternoon and evenings. Great place to sit and have a drink or eat. The rooms in the hotel are completely soundproof so you’re not disturbed by the noise. Our room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is amazingly helpful. They suggested and made reservations for great restaurants and tours. They really try very hard to accommodate their guests. It was a great experience.

Room Tip: We booked a deluxe room.

Location of the hotel is fabulous, right near all the buzz of the Bairro Alto with all its restaurants and nightlife, yet quiet since it's on a lovely square (with a great restaurant), and has well insulated windows. Service in the hotel was great, and the beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed but a bit odd (faucet splashed and the door opened on to the toilet). Try for the rooms on the 4th or 5th floor if you want a view (although those rooms are more expensive).

Room Tip: best views are from the 4th and 5th floors, but those book early and are more expensive

Lisboa Carmo Hotel is a lovely hotel on charming Carmo Square. We booked a deluxe room with a river view. It was on the fourth floor, and the view was amazing! We could see the convent ruins, the beautiful purple Jacaranda trees, the gorgeous view of the river.
The room was nicely appointed, with plenty of lights, a Nespresso machine, and a comfortable chair. Bottled water was replenished every day. There was a safe in the closet.
Even though I had emailed about the availability of washcloths, they do not provide them.
The breakfast buffet was very expansive, with many different choices, including wonderful fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. There were eggs, cheeses, meats, many different breads and pastries. They brought you your choice of coffee, cappuccino, tea, etc.
The room was very clean, and there were excellent towels, bathrobes, and slippers. However, subsequent cleaning of the room was not in a timely fashion. One day, we left after breakfast and were gone for 7 hours. When we got back, our room had not been touched. We had a maid change out our towels and clean the bathroom, explaining that we could not have her clean the rest of the room until we left. Then we asked the desk to have it done. When we came back, it had not been done. After a call, they sent someone up, but we did not want to be bothered at that point.
The night before we left, we had the desk order a taxi for the next day to take us to the airport. We were down in the lobby waiting. Our taxi arrived, but another woman took it. I asked them to get us another taxi. It took over 20 minutes for them to arrange something for us. We took our bags outside ourselves, with no offer of help.
All in all, it was a great place to stay. However, I did not expect any issues with a luxury hotel.
