This hotel is definitely not a five star, more a four star. Stunning floral displays and spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and a pleasant room. However the staff attitude was variable, some very helpful and welcoming, others the opposite. The bar food was expensive and unimpressive. In contrast both the staff and food in the Erva restaurant were exceptional. Overall it was fine but if you go don’t expect a 5 star experience.

Frequent customer in this hotel meaby 5 time in a month, all the time very bad approach from the receptionist and long waiting without any information regarding room availability , the rest it’s very nice and cozy especially the breakfast.

Wherever possible and despite check-in time is after 2.00pm we do our utmost to deliver the room as soon as a guest arrives. The Corinthia offers great value for travellers. The breakfast buffet was excellent, guest services staff were very helpful and our room was spacious with great amenities. While not located in the heart of the city, the two transit stations a 2 minute walk away take you into the city or out to Sintra in no time at all. The gardens offer a quiet oasis after a busy day of sightseeing.

Ok, the good news: there are beautiful flowers inside and outside of the property.
Hmm, that's about all, as the rest is down-hill. Granted, we were with a large group for check-in, but the hospitality and weird hyper-security measures were daunting. Let's say you wanted some ice in our room to enjoy something from the mini bar or ? There are NO ice machines (actually not surprising with a supposedly 5-star hotel). but you also can't get any ice "to go" from the bar! What? "Security"was the given reason. Yeah right. Try Room Service scam. Boo. Also, ALL food must be eaten in the restaurant - not even a banana to go. Really? Perhaps that they feel there is a "slippery slope" for folks sneaking out a croissant to have later, but really - they weren't even worth a smuggle.
And finally - their T.P. was bad and scratchy! Obviously I did NOT like this HUGE not-so-great hotel very much at all!

The hotel was nice but the location was not in the center of town and has a limited number of restaurants to chose from within walking distance. The room was nice, staff was helpful except certain doorman seemed like you were bothering them when asked a question. Their breakfast offered many choose.
