The location of this hotel is excellent. The rooms are small, outdated and not very well kept, but clean and perfectly functional. The bathroom was fine. There is someone at reception 24/7 so you always feel safe.

Breakfast was quite bad, not going to lie - bread, butter and jam and terrible coffee. But all in all, good value for money and would go back.

The bottom line is that if you are after a clean and safe room in the centre of Lisbon and don't want to spend too much money: this is perfect. If you are looking for somewhere pretty or modern: choose somewhere else.

Stayed here at the end of June for four days and had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. The location was perfect just off of the Rua Augusta and a three minute walk to the Praca do Comercio and Rossio train station. The rooms are old as everyone else has stated but were clean and a good size. Beds were a little creaky but nothing that is bothersome.

As everyone else has commented on, breakfast is just bread, butter, and jelly. However, it's some damn good bread. Also, we went out to breakfast every morning but one. Pastries are about a euro a piece at the pastelaria's in the area, so why are you even eating the breakfast at your hotel in a foreign country anyway. All-in-all great location, clean rooms, and friendly staff for an unbeatable price.

Was not hoping or expecting much based on the previous reviews posted here but there is a fine line between old school charm and being absolutely run down.

This hotel is in dire need of a serious makeover that no amount of cleaning can replace: bathroom curtain was old and had traces of mold on it, the furniture was literally falling apart and the carpet was downright disgusting and smelly. We ended up avoiding walking around without slippers/socks on and bought an air freshener. The bed and pillows were okay, albeit on the uncomfortable side for us but this is a bit subjective. If you plan on booking a room here, make sure you pack everything you think you will possibly need because, beyond soap and towels, you can not count on any amenities. We had to buy a pen from a souvenir shop downstairs because the reception would not even give us a pen.

The breakfast was better than nothing but we skipped it on most days. The area where it's served is also kind of a mess with very shabby leather sofas that were full of holes. Really wanted to like this place but beyond location and general cleanliness (minus the carpet) this place has nothing going for it.

The accomodation is what you expect from a ~20 year old hotel, "not to modern" BUT Clean! The location compensate everything. It is in the hearth of Lisabon! So We recomend to everybody. If I have to I book again in the near future.

The hotel has elevator to 2nd floor where reception is located. It is very well located for walking or trams, buses, Metro in all directions. It's clean, safe, quiet and has absolutely no ambiance. Breakfast is bread rolls and coffee or tea, day after day after day. However, it is very reasonable and had extra blankets and pillows which I appreciated, also a heater and aircon in the room. There is a lounge with a TV. Wifi is available in the room as well as lounge.
