We stayed with another couple for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience. Andre provided a full and enthusiastic introduction as soon as we arrived and this helped us enjoy our first time in Portugal.
Location is excellent; arrangement of the apartment and decor is comfortable. We made all our dinners in the lovely kitchen and only suggest a few more pieces of cutlery to be available. We did find the bed too firm.
We would definitely return and will advise friends to experience this lovely setting.
Me and my family spent a week in this apartment in August. The apartment was very well equipped and the location is great. There was ample space for the four of us.
We were met by our host Paulo when we arrived and he was so very welcoming. He spent a lot of time writing down recommendations of places to visit and things to do as it was our first time in Lisbon. Couldn’t ask for a more friendly host.
The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and clean.
We did however, have some issues. The internet signal was non existent which was frustrating, particularly as I had two boys who relied upon the internet for their downtime. The second issue was with one of the single beds. The bed’s mattress was slanted downwards and it was forever sliding off of the base which made it rather uncomfortable. The shower had a leak which meant the bathroom was flooded every time the shower was used.
Those negatives aside we enjoyed our stay in the apartment.
This apartment in Baixa is within walking distance to many sites, two blocks to the metro and train station and many good restaurants. It is spacious and quiet.
Andre gave us a thorough orientation and we appreciated the care taken in hosting us.
Lisbon is a beautiful city and and the people are friendly and helpful.
Perfect location for exploring Lisbon, we were able to walk everywhere and with the help of tourist information in Praco de Commercio we soon learned how to navigate public transport.
Lisbon is such a beautiful city you could spend all day looking at the tiled walls and pathways, 18th century architecture and pretty mama & papa shops.
We were close to restaurants and opportunities to eat outside and found an excellent Indian restaurant nearby.
The apartment perfect for two of us and the host very attentive.
We are 2 mature couples who stayed in the appartment for 5 nights ..it was central to all Lisbon has to offer. The big supermarket is at the elevator 5 mins walk there are other ones close as well. Close to the rail ...we went to Sintra and Cascias each for a day ( 35mins). The castle is a 5-10 min walf from the top of the elevator. The appartment had 2 beds and 2 baths..2 sets of keys..all amenities you could need...including a washing machine & dryer.... great listening music! to listen to at the end of the day. Taxi rank at the end of the street ...many restaurants on the doorstep. We enjoyed the complementary bottle of wine ...thank you! We were met and shown the appartment by Andre and given a very comprehensive orientation which can be hard to take in all at once ! maybe a short easy step instruction for washer / dryer left handy may be a good idea - as we did not attempt to use it .... would recommend this appartment ...thanks Lesley & co from Australia
