..it is this hotel - clean, recently refurbished in a modern style, with good phonic insulation, conveniently located within walking distance to main Lisbon attractions: Bairro Alto (for authentic Lisbon streets), Chiado (for shopping experience), Alfama (old Lisbon). It is by a picturesque cable car, a very short and steep ride to a nice 'miradouro'. Any other destination is easy to reach by Metro, station at 5 minutes in Rossio (starting point for out of the city trips like UNESCO site Sintra, or seaside resort Cascais).
All in all, great deal!

Room tip: I stayed on the side of the cable car, nice view to Restauradores square. The rail way noise was down-sided when closed windows.

We took the metro from the airport and were delighted when we walked out of the station and could see the hotel sign as soon as we walked out. The hotel itself is an old building that has been remodeled. We found it very comfortable and large enough. Breakfast was not included in the price and for 7.50 Euros there is probably better value to be had outside the hotel. The breakfast options were minimal and the dining room was in absolute chaos. One of us had to always sit at the table to make sure that no one took the table--even with our food on it. The staff (front desk, cleaning and breakfast ladies) were all excellent. They smiled and seemed happy to help. The location was fabulous. Until you've been to a city, you can never be sure if you've picked the right location or not. This hotel was within walking distance to most of the main sights. It was also right next to a metro station if you needed to get to a train station or other outlying areas. I would definitely stay here again.

Located right next to the metro station and ascensor da gloria is a perfect location to get anywhere in the city. there is a room for your luggage if you arrived before check-in. The room are spacious and the shower as alot of hot water and water pressure. The matresse are not perfect but okay for a couple of nights. Very quiet hotel but our room was not facing the street. We did not try the restaurant of the hotel but food look good and prices are very reasonable.

This is a nice hotel, clean, comfy and cheap for its location. The staff are friendly too.
It's located just behind Liberdade. so it's not so busy, however, in the two times I've been here the bins are emptied of bottles around 2am. Once was unfortunate. Twice looks like it's a regular.

If I go again I'd have to have a room at the back!

Room tip: Rooms at back may be quieter
