Having in mind that this is 2 star hotel, it is very good. Located virtually 5 meters from Anjos metro station, it is far enough from touristic filled areas to be reasonable priced, and close enough to city center. It needs 15 minutes by foot to get to Rossio square. Walking from hotel toward Rossio square you will pass Martim Moniz square (about 5 minutes from hotel by foot), where is starting station for famous tram 28. Anjos, where hotel is located, is not shining neighbourhood. Close to hotel are two homeless shelters, walking to Rossio you will pass by many Nepali, Indian, Chinese etc small shops selling cheap things and small restaurants. But, you will also pass by O Ramiro cervejaria, (Those who watched No Reservation Lisbon knows about it). Don't let neighbourhood to put you away from hotel. Me and my (female) partner felt very good and safe. So, location is OK.
We had room 206. Small room, just enough for two adults with suitcases to manage there. Beds are comfortable enough. Room was quiet, at night you can hear metro rumbling, but not loud enough to make problems with sleeping. Room had small balcony. View was, well, there was no view to anything interesting. But, as we walked whole day, we just needed place to put things, sleep, have shower and like. And for that hotel fulfilled our needs good enough. There was safe in room, WiFi...Having in mind that this is 2 star hotel, it is very good. There was safe in room, WiFi included in price of room with good signal. Bathroom had shower box (solid walls, not plastic blanket), bidet and hair dryer. 3 towels per person. Both room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was in small restaurant next to reception desk and it was better than plain continental breakfast you usually have in European hotels, even better than breakfast we had in 3 star hotels.
I can't tell anything about people working in hotel as we didn't have need to deal with them except checking in, checking out and one question about one location. And that was done as it should by people in hotel, so no complaints there.
We booked hotel directly at hotel's web site. Everything went smoothly during booking, paying etc.
Reason for booking this hotel were reviews and grade it has at TripAdvisor, and we did right thing doing that.
As conclusion: This was our second time in Lisbon. First time we were at Jorge V hotel, 3 star hotel near Marquise Pombal square. Comparing these two hotels, we would chose Sete Colinas over Jorge V every time. In fact, if we return in Lisbon again, Sete Colinas will be high on our hotel list, if not even first choice.More
