It's on a sandy beach, very close to the Station from where it's 40 minutes to the terminus ai Lisbon, and just a stroll away from lots of restaurants. Friendly service, very good food.

Good, slightly quirky design, a change from standardised 5 star chains.

Nice Swimming Pool and expert Barmen !

Room tip: Higher Floor with Sea View rooms are the best.

Thios was our second year to stay in The Albatroz Hotel ,everything was as we requested ,our room was on the second floor with sea view and balcony and the views are spectacular. Staff could not have been nicer but especially the bar staff who are very friendly and most efficient. We love Cascais and will be going back again and staying at The Albatroz for its location and service.

Room tip: The second or third floors are best for sea views

Just stayed here for 2 nights with some friends.... 3 points to comment on...
1. This hotel is not at a five star standard, rooms are dated and floral, with old looking carpets. Restaurant area looks dated, pool area looks dated
2. Although the staff tried hard to help, the management was poor. Not enough waiters allocated for breakfast service, guests laying their own tables, and having to wait too long for service. Only one reception staff available when checking in 8 of us, and she was answering every phone call
3. Limited breakfast choices, scrambled egg in buffet was very sloppy and unappetising. Waiting staff did not offer eggs - but did provide when we requested on the second day

Beautiful location overlooking the beach. A disappointing room, very basic, minimalistic, no wardrobe just shelving and a clothes rack. Balcony was in poor condition in desperate need of painting.
In the evening our room was very noisy coming from the adjacent promenade and also late into the night lots of noise on the beach. A café is being renovated next to the hotel (nearly completed ) and I would imagine would involve more noise.
Too many male staff employed in the hotel, especially in reception and in the dining room, would be much better with some young female staff.
No welcoming drink on arrival which you would expect from a 5* hotel and certainly no atmosphere within the hotel.

Room tip: difficult to advise as lots of noise at night, July and August ' a no go '

A great hotel overlooking the beach and bay. Clean, good food and service. We had a great sea-view room with balcony. Excellent location. The hotel is only two minutes from train (40 mins to Lisbon) and bus station (40 mins to Sintra) and right by the pedestrianized shopping streets. A quiet and relaxed stay, with a good buffet breakfast that we could eat outside. Highly recommended.
