This hotel is located in the old downtown of Viseu, a lovely city in the centre of Portugal. The Building is old, but extraordinarialy well preserved. The bedrooms have different decoration and the bathrooms are spacious and confortable with a very good ducha. Everything is clean and the bed is confortable. The breakfast is delicious. I loved the regional cheese, the homemade jelly, the almond tart and all wonderful cakes they served every morning. The service is informal, but attent and very professional - make you feel at home. We just loved everything! Go and visit this cute city and stay in Casa da Se.

Pulled up to this nice little luxury hotel right in the heart of old Viseu. You can unload your car, but you cannot park at the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Staff will help you with your bags and there is a lift. NIce to have a whirlpool tub after long drive. My only real complaint was there was a slight nasty smell in the room at times like someone recently may have eaten something and left the remains in the trash and it didn't have a chance to air out, but most of the time you didn't smell it.

Room Tip: I suggest parking at the free city parking lot by the funicular and take the funicular back to the hotel.

This hotel is decorated with antiques and is very well located! Although the decor is antique, the bathrooms are modern and the room really confortable..... it’s located right in the old town. If you have a car, park at the entrance of the city and use the free funicular..... it’s a romantic hotel!

Right in the city centre without the noise. The breakfast was very good with some traditional jams and cakes.
The hotel has some antiques that give it a special character - it fits with the house (the hotel is located in an old house but it has an elevator, is warm and both the room and the bathroom are modern).
Service very thoughtful.

No parking. real issue. Advice: do not park around the cathedral when it is open you might not be able to get your car afterwards since they lock the entrance....
Hotel is middle historic center beautiful surroundings. All hotel is furnished with antiquities and with modern comfort for beds and bathrooms
The breakfast is under what you could expect from such a hotel in the upper range. lots of sweets but not much choice for cheese /salty especially when u are vegetarian.
coffee outside machine is not tasty.
staff is smiling and tries to help as much as possible.
Door locking system not easy to use ad no noise isolation at all in the room.
This said i felt back in time at my gran-parents house :-) Enjoyable

Room Tip: upper floors and in a corner far from stairs and elevator
