It's a nice hotel well situated at one of the two actual sand beaches on Terceira. The breakfast is ok, don't expect too much, though. HOWEVER: they opened a new "club" which consists of a large tent right in front of the hotel. They had a party there on Saturday, summer opening - I thought it was a one time time thing, but the hotel management confirmed it happens every Saturday durinh the season. The club plays bad taste music until about 2.30 am. As there are no walls, only a tent, the sound and most of all the bass comes right to your hotel room. There was no way for us to sleep. The hotel management just smiles at us the next day and said usually the tourists go participate at the party. Honestly: the music selection was just too bad for me to get in party mood.

was a bit reluctant when booking into this old building and small hotel but all expectations were overturned into a very positive review of a quaint hotel with lovely staff and very good service, top ratio for value and money

We ended up dining here by accident, as we were looking for the Beira Mar in Sao Mateus, but it was a happy accident. We enjoyed a delicious meal from start to finish, accompanied by very good local wines. This was all made possible by a number of wait staff who helped us navigate the menu and wine list. Not to be missed are the seafood soup, served in a bread bowl, the octopus entree and the pineapple mousse for dessert.

A location on the beach with sea views and near the shopping streets so great for exploring. I ate in the restaurant twice and had excellent service one night but not very good the next night. The restaurant has a terrace but you would probably need to book a table in advance to be guaranteed a table outside. The rooms were comfortable enough, but the decor looks a little tired. The was a kettle and fridge in my room but no safe. Reception staff were helpful.

The best thing about this hotel is its restaurant, which serves a fine lunch and dinner. Its location in Angra do Heroismo is very good. Otherwise it's average - the rooms are not over large, there's not a lot of storage space, the pillows tend towards lumpiness and the breakfasts are plentiful but not sophisticated. The staff are friendly and helpful,
One thing I found particularly frustrating is that there is a decent-looking bar in the lobby, but it's next to impossible to get a drink there. You're best served by going out into Angra.

I stayed in the hotel and ate twice in the hotel. I ate soup and fish (mero). Excellent good portions nicely grilled (no butter used) all in all the true Portuguese way of cooking. Recomend very much.
