We loved The atmosphere of "Baia Das caldeirinhas"
We felt at home!
Our family apartment was beautifully decorated very clean and comfortable. Perfect location just 1 minute walk from Porto pim beach.
It is defenitly worth going to Faial and spend some days in Baia Das caldeirinhas!

We loved the Baia das Calderinhas! We stayed for 5 nights at the end of our 2 weeks in the Azores. The location couldn't have been better. Convenient to the marina, restaurants and grocery store. The location had all of the conveniences of a town, yet you feel like you are staying at a small fishing village. Our apartment was beautifully designed and had a full kitchen. Be aware though, this is an apartment rental, not a hotel with a 24 hour a day assistance. The day we checked in, it took 15 minutes for the owner to give us the keys. Victor was very helpful with all of our needs. He helped us dry our laundry since the damp weather wasn't helping. My only complaint, if it is one, is that the cupboards are bare. If you want to cook, you must buy everything at the market, including salt and pepper. maybe the kitchen is more stocked with basics in the peak summer months. We we traveling just at the end of high season.

“Ideal for fishing holiday”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Nice clean quiet serviced self catering apartments with free wifi, air conditioning and cable tv. There is a laundry room. Perfect if you are there for the marlin fishing as its less than 5 minutes walk from the harbour if you walk as fast as I do and its cheaper than the hotels. Owned by a very nice lady called Francisca who has a cat.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 15 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

It was just what we needed! A clean, white space with a comfortable bed, a kettle and walking distance to the center. in addition we had plates, knives and mugs all we could possible want to eat breakfast, inlcuding a large outside table on the terrace and even better another terrace on the roof with another table and chairs to have breakfast in the sun.
Also the little kitten that roams in and out of the land is the cutest, she is friendly allows picking up for cuddles! We called her Tilly.
We will return next year to Horta and will stay again at Baia das caldeirinhas and visit Tilly.

“Clean, comfortable and functional apartment between the harbour and bay”
Reviewed 22 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Baia das Caldeirinhas is a modern building with several serviced apartments located in between Horta's harbour and the smaller bay of Porto Pim. The theme is fresh, clean and fairly sparsely furnished, e.g. concrete and tiled floors, hanging rail rather than wardrobe - OK for a couple or one person, but would be difficult to entertain guests or do any ambitious cooking. A few practicalities are lacking e.g. coat/towel hooks, and the 'washbasin' is barely an inch deep, but otherwise everything seems perfectly functional and adequate. Incidentally there are quite steep steps to get up/down to the apartments (depending which road you approach from). The owners (who also have a shop in the same street) were very welcoming and helpful.
