Try the churrasco. It is delicious. Be vary of the "free" stuff like bread, butter and cheese. It is charged for and quickly adds up.

We saw this place on our way toward our hotel. We decided to have lunch there today. We were not disappointed at all!! The piri piri flavor on the chicken was amazing! We decided to order one chicken fur the two of us, it also came with great fresh fries. The price was 13 Euros for the one chicken and fries. It was enough to feed us both.
You won't be disappointed. Oh and the service was great and quick! We will be back before we leave!
Eating the first piece of my chicken, I already knew : if in future chicken in restaurante : it will be here. It might be ten years ago that I had the charcoal piri piri chicken sooo delicious.
The other guests were all portuguese and when I entered, the waiter seemed to be surprised to have na estrangeiro that was lost somewhere. The ice however was broken when I said that the chicken is "muito bom".
Very attractive seem also the grilled skewers .
The restaurante is close to the big avenue, but inside athmosphere and decoration is cosy.
Hope having the opportunity to introduce my husband there very soon, who was retained at the hospital that day.
Outside the center of Portimao, this restaurant has possibly the best grilled chicken I have had anywhere. Order it piri-piri style with an Algarve salad. Chicken comes with home made french fries. House wines are adequate and the flan is also very good for dessert. They also serve large skewers of mixed meats which also looked very good. While there is adequate seating for sit down dining, they also do a thriving take-out business.
Chicken, french fries, salad, bread, cheese, wine, coffee, and dessert for two was less than 30 euros.
This is always our first meal after we arrive in Algarve!
