We visited the Monchique Spa Resort, for a Sensorial Spa session and a lovely dinner away from home
The welcome was very nice, the staff friendly and welcoming.
We booked Half Board, we asked could we take our dinner in the Ala Carte restaurant and pay the upgrade.
This seemed to cause some confusion.
We did eat in the Ala Carte but it was a set menu.
In hindsight we would just book Bed and Breakfast and then choose where we wanted to dine.
On site there is a pizzeria, a buffet restaurant, the Ala Carte and in the bar you could have bar snack meals.
The spa was lovely, clean and there was plenty of room, it wasn’t too crowded.
The staff also friendly and welcoming.
We had a courtyard suite and if you were to stay there, I would recommend a Mountain View room or suite.
The rooms are spacious, ours had a kitchen and one bathroom with the other room being a shower room.
The breakfast buffet was extensive and although the choice was limited on the Ala Carte menu we weren’t charged any more for that but would have gladly paid more to upgrade for more choice.
If I had any criticism this could have been an option, also the enquiry that I made about the day spa and lunch could not be answered by either the spa staff or reception.
I would love to take my friends there for a Sensorial Spa and Lunch.
I cannot understand this, surely it’s turning good business away?
I will return, I will seek out the information on the website.
Otherwise a very nice night away.
