So far the worst accommodation in Portugal. Still very good but regional accommodation was far superior. Internet password was not provided by reception so we had to go back and ask, it appears that internet is not available in rooms only common areas. There are stairs within the same floor so you need to drag luggage etc up and down stairs. No TV reception however it was fixed. They were renovating outside our room and failed to tell us. Very busy reception making for ling wait times. Nothing special about the breakfast -a big hotel offering same same as at home but with poor reception service no internet and major renovations not advised. Find somewhere else if you are not playing golf.

This hotel is in a good location with all the facilities an older couple would enjoy.
One can walk easily to all the town and beach attractions.
There is a free car park.
The staff are friendly and efficient.

This hotel is by far the best in Lagos especially now the rooms have had a makeover. It is in an ideal situation close to all amenities and the beach. It is also an ideal base for exploring the Western Algarve.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Lagos is a beautiful old Portuguese town with a lot of character. There are lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. The courtesy bus to the Duna Beach resort is great, you get the best of town life or beautiful beach retreat.

We paid extra for a premier pool view room (room 11), which is a refurbished room with a lovely big terrace facing the pool and with lots of sunshine and near the main hotel. My partner wasn't so keen on the 3 steps up to the bathroom and 3 down to the bedroom. It's just very unusual but you get used to it in no time. There isn't much storage in the bedroom itself as the cupboard is up the stairs. And a picture / mirror in the bedroom would be nice.
The bathroom is lovely and modern with a brilliant walk in shower.
The housekeeping of our room was excellent.

I really liked the quirkiness of this hotel. It has lots of different sections with quiet little courtyards and seating areas. While it still needs further refurbishment (and it looks like everybody is working hard at it), it has a lot of character.

The staff at the hotel are all very helpful, professional and friendly, without exceptions

Breakfast was very tasty with lots of hot and continental choice. Exactly what one would expect from a 4 star hotel.

We had drinks in the hotel bar on the 2 occasions they had entertainment. Other nights we went across the road. O Artista has good life music and Luis's is a nice bar with nice background music and cheap drinks.

Will definitely book this hotel again on a return visit to Lagos.

The perfect place for a celebration. We were welcomed here with a bottle of champagne and a cake in the room upon arrival. It was my birthday that day and we were also celebrating 50 years of marriage. Our room was perfect overlooking the pool and the Lagos rooftops. The entire staff was wonderful and very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. Loved the location and walking into the historic old town to explore and enjoy the traditional Portuguese foods.
