The resort itself I’m sure was once five star but sadly not anymore. I booked two apartments for 9 nights and went with a friend and my two elderly parents to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The staff are superb and was breakfast. Unfortunately our apartments were far from 5 star and on entering I was shocked at the state of the apartment. Sockets hanging from the wall, badly stained sofa bed, chunks out of the wall, blistered plaster and paint. What looked like mould or water damage. After complaining reception offered to send house keeping, but as you can see from pictures house keeping weren’t going to be able to fix these major issues. We were informed that we may be able to be moved the following day. House keeping did come and clean the sofa bed but we still felt we couldn’t use it. We did use the shower which was super powerful and one of the best I’d used. The kettle was filthy and had green gunge in it, I took it to reception and they did replace it promptly for us. We were moved the following day to an apartment that was a little better, however we struggled to get hot water and the shower was a trickle. My parents apartment was okay. They did have a few issues like broken hair dryer, missing towels etc but these were promptly rectified. The staff were very helpful but unfortunately the apartment was a huge let down. Breakfast was excellent and we made sure to be there early as if not you had to queue for a while. We used the gym, spa and games room and these were adequate. Meals in the evening were themed and enjoyable. Earliest sitting was 7pm which was a little late for us but we tried to make the most of the experience. This was to be a very special holiday after long illness and to celebrate my parents anniversary. It sadly didn’t live up to expectation and no compensation was received.
