This is a fairly small and popular restaurant so best to book. The food is excellent - all freshly cooked by the two chefs and has interesting Portuguese dishes. 2 tapa each was sufficient for us so the cost is very reasonable for such lovely food.

Out of town and off the beaten track this little gem of a restaurant is well worth searching out. DONT visit if you want steak and chips or are in a hurry! Each dish is prepared fresh, so shill, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the chef at work. Dishes are a burst of flavour sensations. We had a King prawn piri piri dish and Octopus cooked in lime and garlic to start, then a beef dish and a mushroom plate... served like tapas so great for sharing. Desserts are worth the extra calories, try the 1001 Arabian Nights for a real treat for the taste buds. So good we are going back tonight to try the dishes we didn't have yesterday

We started with olives - and some should have been left where they had fallen. We followed with an asparagus and bread pudding - a waste of lovely asparagus - and another option which I can't recall. A pork dish was the tastiest of our choices. "A thousand and one Arabian nights" was the recommendation of our waiter for dessert - but he wouldn't tell us what the ingredients were -apparently it was sufficient that it was the creation of the chef. Unfortunately his creative juices should have been applied elsewhere as this was a dessert we could have lived without - it was based on chickpeas! This was our last night in the Algarve and it was very disappointing. Judging by other reviews I can only say that at best this is not our kind of food and/or we got the restaurant on a bad night.
