This stunning hotel atop an ancient walled town was very poor at managing the huge group that we were part of.
It is a most beautiful and fascinating building with loads of interesting historic details.
However, just one receptionist to register 42 people didn't make us feel very welcome.
Throughout our stay we felt there were insufficient staff - at breakfast, dishes not replenished, during the day attending to general requests, and in the bar just one man to deal with a lot of thirsty guests.
Apart from the staffing we loved walking round this hotel and exploring the little town around it. Our room and bathroom were great and we even had an additional little ante room within an adjoining turret! Very comfortable huge bed.
