We have stayed at the hotel twice and have found the rooms to be clean and the proprietor friendly. The breakfast is ample. The décor in the bedrooms is a bit dated but it is very good value, especially if booked through Brittany Ferries where breakfast is included in the cost.

Pleasantly surprised as we had little choice about this booking, as it was the logical place for a stop on our cycle tour, but the area is very quiet with few tourist facilities. It is a single storey motel style layout with one side along a busy main road. We had a higher price room on the other side of the central car park, so no noise problems. The pleasant surprise was that the room was large and light, with a small terrace & table outside. There is a small indoor pool, and a small sitting room with games & TV. Did not try the restaurant but found a good creperie in village. Breakfast OK but nothing special.
Beauvoir is not now "sur mer" but in the marshland. Presume the reviewer praising the beaches used a car.

This hotel is extremely well priced in a area where if you want to France as "France" this is the place to come.
Simple accommodation on a par with our travel lodge it offers rooms for couples and larger accommodation for families all in a secure area from the road.
Beauvoir sur mer is a quiet little village so dont come here if you want night life, but if you want a little get away from it all retreat and practise your french then I highly recommend it the beaches are extensive and "plage du pont d'yeu" is just sand and sea with magnificent blue sky's and little known by the English '
The whole area is very flat and I am guessing famous for farming sea salt, a interesting process to watch if you have nothing better to do.

Book another hotel this place was awful, dirty, smelly and lacked good repair and maintenance. We spent 3 nights in this hotel after visiting several other hotels around central and western France this summer. Our experiences in the other hotels was good to great until we tried the P`tit Dej Hotel, what a mistake that was.
We arrived late afternoon and was given the keys to a ground floor room, upon opening the door to the room we were hit with a disgusting stale most horrible smell, we immediately had to open the french doors and keep the door to the room wide open to try and vent the stench, we checked the room out and it was filthy. We complained to the lady on reception and asked her to get the room and the terrace cleaned up, we went out whilst they were to clean up. When we got back they had made an attempt to vacuum the floor but the room was still dirty and stank, they didnt bother with the terrace so we asked for a brush and swept it ourselves. We were told that the hotel was fully booked and there wasnt any other rooms available as there were no other hotels with availability locally we had to sit it out for the 3 nights.
The decor in the room and bathroom - seperate toilet was poor, the wall paper was dirty and peeling off, the plug for the bath didnt fit so a bath was out, there was no where to hang the heandset from the bath taps and there was no hot water, the water was barely warm all the time we were at the hotel and the plumbing made very unusual noises when it was being used in other rooms(the pipes ran above the ceiling in our room). There were stains on the carpets to the bedroom and the walls were paper thin, people in neighbouring room up at 7ish every morning with television on pretty loud.
We didnt try the restaurant as we thought if the room was so dirty, not sure what the kitchens would be like.
We did get several bites during the night whilst asleep in the room, not sure what bit us but we were glad to get out of the place after the 3rd night. Couldnt wait to get to the next hotel where we all had a bath as soon as we got there to clean our selves.
My advice would be if you are going to stop in this area dont go anywhere near this hotel, there are several good hotels in St giles and St Hillare, also La tranche sur mer,, we have stopped in many hotels in this area and know it well. wont be visiting this one again.
Dont let my comments put you off visiting the area it is lovely and the local people are very polite and helpful.
Other areas we visited during the holiday are: Amboise (Novotel - spot on place). Cognac (stopped in the chateau De Brille - spot on place). Royan (The Grand hotel (this is a Novotel to) Honfleur (cant remember the name of the hotel but it was great, what a beautiful place. I have photos but couldnt be bothered up loading them, I really want to forget the experience, if anyone really wants to see them let me know and I will add them.

Having travelled extensively thro' France this is a "Must go back to" hotel. The area is fascinating with its history and landscape. The hotel has a family atmosphere, clean, an excellant buffet breakfast. The adjoining restaurant has value for money 3 course meals, which change every day( most unusual for budget meals) as well as a wide a la carte menu. All these are beautifully presented as well as superbly cooked.
The staff are very helpful if any visitor has particular health problems and go out of their way to assist.
